Ralph Goetz

Ralph is one of the world’s foremost practitioners of planning for air cargo handling facilities, infrastructure, operating processes and automation. He has an unparalleled understanding of air cargo globally and in particular in Asia, Europe and the Gulf. He brings his knowledge of air cargo operations, infrastructure and facilities to support the SASI World team’s recommendations, with a particular focus on material handling, I.T. systems and advanced technology.
Ralph has held senior level positions at major global air cargo airlines and service providers, including Swissport, where he held the position of Vice President Logistic Concepts and Network Development; ACI Air Cargo Integrators, where he was Managing Partner/Executive Chairman; Malaysia Airlines, where he was Vice President Cargo; and Lödige Fördertechnik, where he held the position of Technical Manager Asia.
Selected projects in which Ralph has played an instrumental role include re-engineering Swissport’s and DNATA’s operations at Schiphol Amsterdam design and development of Swissport’s cargo terminals at Liege, Basel/Mulhouse and Algiers; a re-engineering study of Swissport’s cargo operations at Toronto; and an operational and infrastructure review of Finnair’s hub facility at Helsinki, which resulted in a capacity increase of 35%.
In total, Ralph has nearly 35 years of focused experience in air cargo operations and airport logistics, including process re-engineering to maximize handling efficiency and throughput capacity. He holds a an Ing (TH) in Environmental Technologies from the Philipp-Holzmann-Schule in Frankfurt.
